In and out of lockdown was doing my head in and I needed a break from work so decided on a bit of camping with my sisters. We're scattered across the country so we looked for somewhere that was fairly equidistant for all of us and Shropshire was it. Specifically Little Stretton as it promised some great walking being at the foot of the Long Mynd. Some googling turned up Small Batch Campsite so that was it sorted.
The campsite was perfectly adequate - great views, adequate facilities, less than five minutes from two decent pubs, and it was cheap as chips. It's highly recommended if you're up that way.
Much walking was planned but most of our planned walks were scuppered, we'd picked the days when the UK basked in temps of 30degrees plus! Thank whomever for camping fridges to keep the beer cold... Rising at 0500 gave me a couple of hours to get some miles under my boots before it became too hot. Side trips to Shrewsbury and Ludlow beckoned instead, and both towns are worthy of a visit, Ludlow especially.
